Happy New Year!

I love the feeling of January 1st. I don't make new year's resolutions - it is depressing when they fall through on January 3rd. But it feels like a clean slate. I look back at the past year and how I've done, sometimes with joy - sometimes with regret. Then I try to evaluate (ask God) what needs to change. January 1st just seems like a great time to make those changes that you've been putting off. God and I discussed some things this morning and what He wants me to do differently. We never reach a place where there is not room for improvement. After all, our goal is to be like Jesus. So I encourage you to take some time today to evaluate where you have been, where you are, and where you are going. Be sure and ask God where He wants you to go. Then adjust your life accordingly. Actually, allow the Holy Spirit to adjust your life. We cannot do anything in our own power (believe me - I've tried). Have a great day with your family!
*This is the newest member of our family, Dexter. He has one blue eye and one brown eye, so Hannah calls him Harvey Dent (Two-Face in Batman). He is so sweet! He was my Christmas present from Doug.
