TalkMS is online!
The webcast that I shot in Boston several weeks ago aired yesterday. If you are interested, go to www.mslifelines.com. Then go to programs. Then you can watch the webcast. I think it is entitled "Choosing a DMD". You can skip past the doctor going into detail about clinical trials, although it is interesting. I have been under the weather for awhile. I have a sinus infection that won't let go. I had gotten a good bit better, then today it seems to be coming back even though I'm still on antibiotic. I've only missed one day of work, but I missed church Sunday, which threw my whole week off.

MIssion Trip
I just wanted to tell you about something exciting, and ask for your prayers and financial support if God leads you to help. Doug and Hannah are going to be going to Guatemala this summer on a mission trip. Hannah went on her first mission trip two years ago and loved it. She has done several, mostly working with kids. This opportunity came up, and she wanted to go. Since she is so interested in missions, Doug and I felt like we need to encourage and support her any way we can. She's never been out of the country. Doug has wanted to do a foreign mission trip for a long time, but was always held back because of his concern for me. I have been doing really well and have convinced him even if I wasn't, I have plenty of family and friends that will take care of me. God will take care of me so that they can do this. The cost will be $1500 each for travel and accomodations plus money they will have to take for food etc. The first deposit has to be in by mid-March. If God leads you to support them in this, please send checks to my home address along with a card covenanting to pray for them. If you can't send money, but would like to join the prayer team, it would be great for you to send a card saying that you will pray. I will continue to give you updates as they prepare and reminders to pray. Hannah is also part of a mission team called Activators. They are meeting every week to prepare for the two mission projects they will do this summer. They will do a local mission project - they usually do a week of Backyard Bible School in a low-income area. Then they will do another trip. Last year, they went to Charleston, SC. This year I think they will be going to the coast to help with hurricane clean up. We're not sure yet. They do fund-raisers for these events. Only the Guatemala trip do we have to come up with the funds ourselves. Have a great day! 300 W. Washington Ave. ; Muscle Shoals, AL 35661

The Latest

It's been awhile since I've updated. I have attached some pix of David. He was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa (sp.?) That is an honor society at the college where he is. I'm so proud of him. The day of the ceremony, Doug and I drove over to see him. I found out afterwards that he didn't have any dress shoes to wear, so he had borrowed Donnie's. Donnie wears a size 13, but David wears a size 15. He was in pain as he walked across the stage. It was so funny once it was all over. I'm still getting stronger doing my Wii Fit. I am still pretty tired when I get home from work, but I think I'm doing really well. My house is a mess, but that's OK. Ti is sick. Doug is taking him to the doctor today. He may have strep. I will be speaking in Birmingham Thursday night. Doug, Hannah, and Ti are going with me. Then we'll drive home on Friday. Since I last posted, I have had the privilege of leading 2 ladies to the Lord. One of them is one of my best friends. I'm not worthy to be used, but I'm so thankful God is willing to use me. Have a blessed day!
