Awesome Weekend

I just had to share what a great weekend we had. I spoke at a Ladies Night Out Saturday night. It went really well. Doug and Ti went to a benefit singing for Alex Denton. They raised over $7,000! David and Hannah were in Nashville at Acquire the Fire Youth Conference. They came home on fire. Mission accomplished, God! Some of the kids wanted to share Sunday morning in the servive. Hannah got up to share, but couldn't say anything. She just cried. Those of you who know Hannah - know that is totally out of character for her - it was definitely a God-thing. Then David, who does not like to speak in front of people, got up to share. He pretty much preached. God has really done an amazing work in my kid's lives. He turned David's world upside-down or rather right-side-up. He left for Panama City late last night with a huge Bible under his arm ready to take on hell with a water pistol. He printed out Luke 9:23 and taped it on his wall over his bed so that it would be the first thing he sees every morning. He told me that Doug and I had always set an amazing example for him and that he hoped to be just like Doug as a husband and father. He says he is so excited to see how God is going to use him as a coach. I must say there is truly no greater joy (other than your own personal walk with God) than to see your children loving and serving the Lord. Please pray for them both. I know that satan will not take this sitting down.

Family Pictures

We had so much fun having these pictures made. They are all now on the website - www.daniellemccann.photoreflect.com. If you have time, check them out. Though I must warn you - there are 171! She continued to click away while we interacted. I think she really captured my loving, whacky family. I don't know how I will ever choose my favorites. If you have pictures made, I would definitely recommend Danielle. She is a great photographer and her prices are wonderful.
I was interviewed today for a story in our local newspaper. They are coming to my job tomorrow to take a picture! Very exciting! The article is about people who reinvent themselves in order to work. I'm sure it's hard for alot of people to believe that I can work at a bank, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I was as shocked as anyone to find that I really enjoy the work and I'm good at it!
