Busy, busy, busy

Donnie, Kylie (Donnie's girlfriend), Nate, Jason, (Tara's boyfriend), David, and Ally

My sister made this cake. Isn't it amazing! We made this "fruit sculpture"

Sorry! I haven't posted in awhile. It has been wild. Alot has happened since I last blogged. David had his first "Youth Worship Experience". He is going to be planning these every month. He will have a different person do the worship each time and someone speak. Ben (a friend of David's) did the worship for the first one and David shared. It was an amazing 2-hour service. A girl was saved! I am just amazed at the work God is doing in David and Hannah's lives right now.

Last weekend, we had a reception for my Mom and Dad's 50th anniversary. It was exhausting, but wonderful. I've attached a few pictures. We had alot of fun, and Mom and Dad seemed very pleased. I've been working on a picture DVD for them for months. I finally completed it. Now that I have that behind me maybe I will be able to blog more regularly.

I'm thrilled with the weather. Doug cleaned my fish pond out. I can see my fish again and am really enjoying my little backyard space.

Happy Birthday to me!

Yesterday was my 43rd birthday. It was a wonderful day. I got the new Chris Tomlin CD. It is awesome. I also got money so that I could shop for some new duds. I got a ton of emails, calls, and texts from family and friends wishing me a happy birthday. We went to Red Lobster last night - yum! It had been a really long time since we'd been there. The folks at the bank brought me a cake and a card signed by everyone. It was just a really good day. I have so much to be thankful for. God is continuing to do amazing things in David and Hannah's lives. Hannah and I were sitting looking at some old pictures last night of my high school, college, and early married days. While we were sitting there, David called her. They talked for a while, and he asked her what she was reading in her quiet time. She said that she would be starting Luke tomorrow (today) and he said that he would be starting Leviticus. She said "Good Luck with that". She looked over at me. I said "Leviticus?" She said "Yea" and we both laughed. David had already told me that he was almost there. They are starting a Saturday night thing for youth and he was calling to talk to her about one of her friends that he wants to do the worship for the first one. In my quiet time this morning, I read again Psalm 1 that God led me to claim for David on 3-25-96. I was just rejoicing in seeing Him start to bring that to pass in David's life. Actually, He's been bringing it to pass since the day David was born. I just couldn't always see it. That's what faith is for. Even when we can't see it, we can KNOW that God is at work. Thank you , Jesus!
